Salvaging the nature to meet human needs and aspiration, while fulfilling the necessary ecosystem function and ensuring sustainable environment.

1. To reduce carbon concentration in the atmosphere by promoting landscape restoration, forest/climate education, and advocacy sensitization on tree planting and deforestation to conserve the integrity and diversity of nature.

2. By helping farmers grow more food to increase their yield and healthy soil through support and bringing modern techniques to farmers to promote climate-smart agriculture and increase their yield.

3. Promoting Education on proper waste disposal and enable communities have access to clean and healthy water.

What We Do

Climate Advocacy and Education:

We carry out climate education for youth and children. Our program focuses on awareness on tree planting and environmental protection among young students in both primary and secondary schools. Our program helps young minds understand the causes and consequences of climate change, how they can act to address this challenge, how their resilience can be strengthened, and empowers them to take appropriate actions to adopt more sustainable lifestyles. Our climate Educational Program is in three section (Sensitization, workshop, and tree planting training). During the workshop section, we divide the students into groups and give them current environmental problems to solve. This is to boost their critical thinking ability in preferring solutions. We also practically train them on how to plant and nurse trees, and the benefit they provide for the ecosystem; the experience will ultimately help students become aware of their roles in the conservation of trees as the cheapest nature-based solution in tackling climate change and protecting life on land. Our goal is to have raise 60000 climate ambassadors in schools by 2030.

Tree Planting and Forest Education:

We specialize on tree planting for landscape restoration, biodiversity conservation, and to meet human needs. Our tree planting activities involve reforestation project, rural and urban tree planting for environmental protection, and tree planting on farmlands to promote agroforestry adoption by farmers. Our goal is to have planted 30 million tree species by 2030. Also, to render forest education training to forest dependent communities.

Food seed support:

We support local and small-scale farmers with seeds and healthy seedlings to support food production. This is achievable through support from individuals and organizations. We also supply innovations to help farmers grow more food and live healthy.

Waste Education/Advocacy for a healthy water usage:

We also offer waste/water education in communities to promote healthy water use and prevent exposure to countless diseases.

We also carry out extensive research work to understand better ways in preferring solution for mutual benefits. We support global findings through research to create awareness, promote sustainable tree management, climate advocacy, and livelihoods development.

Our current research work:

  • Farmers preference on tree species for domestication on farmland under a changing climate condition and their reasons for preference. This is to promote our seedlings establishment on type of trees farmers would prefer to grow, to promote agroforestry adoption by farmers.
  • Factors affecting adoption and implementation of SDGs 13 and 15. A case study of public-school students in Ibadan Metropolis.

What We Have Done

  • In 2016, we carried out community tree planting /forest education projects in Ijari Community, Oyo state. Planted 7000 seedlings successfully in houses, rural roads, and religious centers.

  • In 2017, we were able to educate 1332 students in 2 secondary schools on climate education

  • In 2018, we started with the domestication of tropical tree species and fruits tree species whereby we educated 202 farmers in three different communities and gave out 5000 seedlings to farmers.

  • In 2019, we trained 5607 students to be climate ambassadors in 7 schools and planted 5000 seedlings in schools and environment, distributed 500 seedlings to farmers for planting on their farm land in Ile Oluji, Ondo state, and educated them to adopt agroforestry system. We also carried out waste/water education in two communities in Ibadan, and online trainings for university students and graduates.

  • In 2020, we had tweet chat with 5 professionals to share their expertise, had online webinar as covid-19 training, and educated and trained 200 students as Climate ambassadors in two secondary schools.

So far, the Organization has planted 18500 seedlings, educated 7139 students on climate education and tree planting at schools, educated 202 farmers, carried out one community tree planting, domesticated 20,000 seedlings and organized several trainings and webinar. Through your help and support, the organization would be able to do more in achieving our goals.
